Like, they'd pretend to be advertising a dating site, but the link leads to porn (I only know that because I was told that), or they'd advertise a financial aid company, but the link leads to a virus, etc, etc

Yea and some pretended to be hot girls asking you to check their profile on a porn site (though they didn’t tell you it was a porn site)
