In fact, it’s more racist to think that a particular race follows a particular culture. Not all people of Chinese skin color are like that. Race is separate from culture.

If you made fun of Chinese people by calling them yellow, that’s racist.

What I'm saying isn't racist at all. The second meme propagates a stereotype. The first meme doesn't.

It presents a stereotype of Chinese culture. Not race. It’s like if you made fun of American culture for playing a kind of football that looks nothing like soccer.

According to Wikipedia (all good arguments start with this phrase BTW): “dark humor, or gallows humor, is a style of comedy that makes light of subject matter that is generally considered taboo, particularly subjects that are normally considered serious or painful to discuss.” Racism could be a taboo subject that is painful to discuss.

well ok, i don't totally agree with that definition, but the racist memes in this stream are not making light of racism. they're making light of other serious or painful topics in a racist way. i don't think this stream should accept racism as 'okay' because it's wrong. the last thing racists need to hear is that they're welcome somewhere.

I agree, I’m just playing devils advocate (as usual). I guess it is up to the mods to decide what is their definition of dark humor. The rules of this stream are somewhat cryptic and don’t give much information about what is considered dark humor.
