Why is Chara always portrayed as the violent one

There’s no evidence pointing to the fact they are violent other than the fact that they kinda look creepy- which isn’t real evidence. People associate them with violence only because of the fact that they PUNISH you for being violent. That’s like when you’re a kid and your parents punish you for, I don’t know, being bad or something. Chara is just as evil as Sans because all they do is punish you.

Have you even listened to their dialogue? They only do it because there is nothing left in that world. Because YOU killed everyone- once again, it's just punishing you.

Listen I don't want to argue just read this paragraph from the undertale wiki. "While initially cast in a sympathetic light, Asriel admits at the end of the True Pacifist Route that Chara "...wasn't really the greatest person." Asriel states that Chara climbed Mount Ebott for an unhappy reason, and adds that Chara "hated humanity".
At the end of the Genocide Route, Chara behaves in a polite, deliberate manner, thanking the protagonist for guiding them, and teaching them that power was the reason they awoke. They tell them that their determination woke them from death when entering the Underground. However, if the protagonist refuses to destroy the world, Chara becomes frustrated and confused, wonders what the player wants instead, and then finally gives in to the frustration, erasing the world anyway." -undertale wiki's Chara page

A couple more quotes "Chara seems to be in control of the protagonist's scripted sequences, as the sequences in the Genocide Route differ from the Neutral and True Pacifist Routes. Afterward, a jump scare occurs, in which Chara approaches the screen with twisted laughter. You do't believe in the scripted event theory? Thank you. So many do, it's really not true. Also I thought everyone already knew this, but clearly YOU are late. Chara doesn't "make you kill everyone" because YOU choose to do the genocide route, dude. I on't know what you mean by it but you can't actually believe that Chara takes control of you. Flowey only talks to you like that because Chara and Asriel were BEST FRIENDS. They would do anything for each other- the game LITERALLY says that. So when it comes to killing, obviously Flowey would think you're up for it.

Okay I don't know how you get "bad" from "not really the greatest person" but okay. Also they hate humanity because they were abused- and since they were young, their parents were role models to them representing what humanity is. Also if I was dead for a while and got resurrected because someone (in this case Frisk) was gaining power, I would probably think, "hey they're doing this for a reason" and be misguided into thinking I should kill. Also just because some scenes are scripted doesn't mean it's Chara doing them. You(or rather the wiki) even mentions the part where we defy Sans in hiding behind the lamp. Even on the neutral and pacifist routes, we STILL have scripted sequences where we are not in control, like Frisk walking over to hide behind the lamp. That's like saying EVERY scripted sequence is Chara. Once again, since this clearly can't penetrate your skull, they only want to erase the world because there is nothing left anyway. Also they want your SOUL because, y'know, they want to be fully alive again- and they're just taking advantage of the fact that YOU want the world back.

In conclusion, you are just ignoring obvious holes in your theory. My reasoning behind why Chara is good is that there is NO evidence suggesting Chara is bad in the first place, except MAYBE that Asriel quote.

Ok if feel it has to be that, I just don't see how someone who takes control of you in the genocide route and makes you kill everyone and erases the game could be good. If that's what you think that's ok I just think differently about this character that toby fox clearly wanted to be evil. I mean flowey talks to frisk in the genocide route thinking you're chara and asking to destroy the world and "turn it all to dust" he doesn't say anything to anyone else because he knows they won't. But you think chara is good that's ok, because people have opinions.

And that scripted event thing is just a theory I don't take as fact in fact I think it doesn't make that much sense either
