There's some major discrepancies in the plot, but there's a bit of value I think...

exactly... The backstory to some of the greatest villains ever? A deeper dive into the inner workings of the Star Wars universe? An actual Jedi Order and not just the last few survivors? Badass new villains? It was set out to be something soooo awesome...

Sometimes I wonder if they just couldn't live up to the potential, didn't bother putting enough work into it (because it was gonna make stupid amounts of money either way), or if they intentionally didn't want to overshadow the original trilogy... Most times I'm convinced it's number two (the toilet humor being a lucky, fitting coincidence).

Episode 1 sucks, episode 2 is a slight improvement, and episode 3... IS AWEEEEEEEEEEEEESOME. I think it gets too much hate.
