Some Italians get very dark, My Great Uncle was often mistaken/accused of being black. He was Sicilian.. He looked like Cab Calloway but darker..

I used to spend time on Haida Gwaii (formerly Queen Charlotte Island) the natives there are a cross between Polinesian and Native, and one family alone can have varying colour skins from damn near white to damn near black, super odd but probably one of the friendliest places to visit, I went with my band the first time we toured there for a month and every night a different family would take us in and feed us, super different food too, everything is either salted and canned, or oily, ate some pretty strange stuff but they don't waste nothing.
