Yes I saw this, Doubt on worldwide collapse as a result but 400 million potentially drowned and displaced is also probably not likely to happen as a result of prewarning even if displacement is probable.
Its Collapse certainly would weaken and collapse the CCP though, they are already teetering.
Guess it's another example of high quality Chinese products with short lasting time. And these people want to be the prominent world power. They couldn't even be my latex salesman.

I hope they do have a warning system in place... right now there are reports of people being arrested who are uploading videos of the surrounding flooding, just like the people who got arrested speaking out about covid.
The US needs to separate itself from any communist country, not sure why everyone isn't boycotting their cheap crap either. Makes one wonder if they built their dam with planned obsolescence like they do everything else. .

Given that if it's independant individuals reporting, who are also being arrested then there's little reason to not believe it's true.
I told people in January as the Sars 2 was coming to light about reports from july /august that I heard about major Sars or Sars like viral outbreaks as well as other reports sayng it was pig flu and how they were doing quarantining of large cities in China. Turns out the reports were holding truth and even the Harvard Medical School is now suggesting that China had a problem in August. Of course China hasn't admitted it officially but I think it's easy to determine that this Covid19/Sars 2 was well under way as long as 1 year ago.

The US and every other country needs to decouple their country from China. China and Chinese product is the reason why I pay little heed to the environmental movements concerns. Because they never mention the fact of how much brand new rubbish is produced each year by China which consumes natural resource which go straight to landfills. And of couse we then need to buy more creating an addiction like circle of repeating.
Do your remember when you bought a can opener that lasted longer than18 months? I do back when they made them here. Me and my closest friends only buy Chinese when it's pricing is significantly cheaper and the product isn't something that will obviously only last 6 weeks.
As too their dam, I think they believed it will last 100 yrs. But we know their product quality so we know better without being told. Have you seen the cities of theirs which have never had anyone living in? Many of these are disintegrating into powdered concrete and rebar and these may well be done so in the scheme of planning obsolescence. But when it comes to the Three Gorges dam, well it took so long to bring together and it's failure would be a serious blow to the CCP, creating such distrust of the party so I think they still intended to create it with longevity in mind. But local corruption could well have undermined the good intentions as it always does wherever it follows and the Communist party is corrupt so kickbacks for party officials could well have undermined that and I now wonder too. Betting on it at 50 cents each way but think the corruption will more likely be the real cause.
