My first Pokemon game was actually two games. It was both Black and White versions that I was given when I was 7. I have Pokemon Sword now (without any DLC, since it costs money and I'm broke af), but I guess the hype wore off eventually for me

Lucky you. My dad likes old consoles, but he plays on the PS4 now (We have a PS2, but that's in the attic now. The PS3 we used to have was given away).

He still likes playing old school games as well. He installed the remastered version of
Final Fantasy X for the Nintendo Switch for me, and he even got my older brother onto Resident Evil, which scares the crap out of him.
