So to be truth it must be absolute, global and universal and if this is true then there can not be only one truth at any one time. Everything else is belief.
So when someone says something like "what I believe to be true" they aren't neccesarily expressing truth so much as their belief in what is truth.
However, If you say "the sun will probably rise tomorrow" that would be truth.
So truth does exist in some form at some time.
People are conflating belief with truth and this has always been a problem. Its nothing new and will probably never go away.
