Do Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses, & Mormons put a curse on their followers? [2 of 4] Paul goes on about God’s requirements for anyone who is rejecting Jesus’ gift of salvation by deciding to live under any part of the law: "For it is written: 'Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do EVERYTHING written in the Book of the Law.” He says we'd have to keep the entire Book of the Law if we're going to put ourselves under any part of the law. We'd have to obey the whole thing. What's the problem with that? We can’t! Paul says this: "Clearly no one is justified before God by the law.”; How do the false teachers get around that? They can't so why are they preaching this stuff? It is not from the Lord. Paul: "The righteous will live by faith [Not by works.]" The law is not based on faith. On the contrary, "The man who does these things will have to live by them." But Christ redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us. For it is written: "Cursed is everyone who's hung on a tree." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham would come to the Gentiles [you and I] through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit [not of the law.]
