Racism and discrimination have always frightened and confused me, but we all need to talk about it no matter how uncomfortable it is. I am sick and tired of seeing black men and women being killed, arrested, harassed and discriminated against. I am 55yrs old, I have seen the protests, the hashtags, and riots throughout that time and nothing has changed. I want to be a part of change, I want to see racism eliminated in my lifetime. So I will discuss it, I will look for it everywhere I go and speak up when I see it, no matter how uncomfortable it makes me. My discomfort is nothing compared to how black people have to live every single day, and I will protect my fellow Americans as everyone should. I will make mistakes I'm sure, but I will keep trying and learning and trying again until the systemic racism in this country is part of our past, or until I die. If we all feel this way and act on it we can make America the same for everyone.💖
