You are correct, he could have just stood there and took to social media later, or led a protest down the streets later. You wouldn't have seen it. That's the point. I won't guess your age, but I know you're an older white male. You were his target, he was reaching out to you, the larger white audience for help. Yeah, he has privilege, never denied that, but he's using his voice for a smaller audience. He was not disrespecting the military. Black men fought with their white brothers in trenches, for our country together. Would your grandpa, uncle, or brother not stand up for another soldier's rights based off color?
