Truth be told, I mostly did this just so I could put Boromir in the "guy who dies first" slot. I thought about putting Merry in the weapons expert slot, but decided that Gandalf would do better. And as for Pippin being the brains, you need people of intelligence on this mission. Quest. Thing.

Gandalf IS perfect for weapons expert. And yeah, Boromir deserves the "guy who dies first slot". I miss Merry, but it is hardly possible to separate him and Pippin and Sam and Frodo, so don't expect him to not be in a secret society trying to figure out why you're being so secretive.
