Hold up what not watching a movie and i thought my parents were strict

I didn't want to watch a movie but I was forced to go sit there, so I played on my phone while the rest of my family was watching a movie. Then my dad started screaming at me to put the phone down. (Which he did multiple times during the movie). I was playing a game where if you left the match, you got a penalty for it so I didn't put it down right away. he actually threatend to break my phone so I'm dealing with that. I could see why he wanted me to put my phone down as everyone else was watching the movie but I have no idea why he was so annoyed at the fact that I didn't want to watch a movie, I probably won't get it back anytime soon.

No offense but that sounds really harsh my dad wont even do that he never rakes my phone because of communication i hope that improves for ya bud

I'll probably get it back today to be honest. Trust me, hes not that harsh really. He just has a different way of handling the problem. My mom says I'm not actually grounded now, but my dad still has my phone, so I guess I'm alright, I just won't be able to post the memes I normally post.
