He was lucky to survive. The JU-87 was a dog in a fight. Great cannon platform and dive-bomber, lousy in a one on one engagement.
My favorites are Major Heinrich Prinz zu Sayn-Wittgenstein, Oberleutnant Max-Hellmuth Ostermann, Major Helmut Lent, and Major Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer.
