That trend is one of the most offensive things that I have ever heard in my entire life.
I have autism myself, and believe me, I do NOT speak in a retarded language, dribble spit everywhere I go, and I don't act stupid or demented.
I function almost normally, only exception is my anger problems and being unable to keep still at times.

Autism is A mutation that occurs in the brain that makes the person affected smarter but they can't socialize very well.
It's a spectrum so there's a variety of drastically different effects that can happen like I can talk to strangers perfectly fine when others are taken for mute. Autism spectrum is a really complicated subject and I can't explain the whole thing but you can read up on it if you are interested.
