Hilarious, super cute. Looks like our old boy, Max, from when I was just growing up as a kid. He was a great dog. I love Goldens, and have one of my own now. Wanna see a picture of Busterman?
Wow 21 is really really old for a GR!!! Very sad when any animal dies that is "mine". But the dogs and cats are the hardest to handle. I dread the next time I have to put one down. The last one was a disaster. The vet came to my house to do it. As she gave it the sedative they give it before administering the phenobarbital or pentobarbital, the cat flipped out. She used every last bit of strength she had to nearly squeeze out of my arms. I had to hold onto her so they could kill her. It was really traumatic. I still feel like I was dragging her to her execution right there. It was a shitty day that day...sure was. I hear that happens because sedatives cause a bee sting pain when they hit the vein. I've experienced it before surgery, so that makes sense. Seems like my vet should have told me to hold the cat tightly...her name was Bob aka Bobbers and she was the weirdest cat I've ever known.
