Not necessarily (I know some people literally cannot afford it), but not have 45-minute blocks of separate subjects for one thing. There are private, charter, and Montessori schools that break the mold, but children are given more opportunities to learn better without pressures that schools provide (grade-shaming, peer pressure, too much homework, pointless busywork, etc.).
