because that was his room, duh. so he called security to make sure she is arrested. DUH!!

If it was his room he wouldn't have knocked, he would have used the key card or something. Probably. The other option is if he thought that one was his room he would try others on the same floor first because it would have the same first number which is the one he would be most likely to remember from his room number.
