I think its more likely that someone was sloppy at the lab..
I read an article abt 1 month ago (think BBC) that said that they rate the labs from P1-P4, p4 being the top rank. They said that the Wuhan lab was operating at a p2 level with lots of errors etc..but they had P4 viruses there.. It was the Who or the UN that said it, cant remember, will try to find the article

Its pretty good and detailed. What it says is that we (Humans) make 1000's of viruses per yr on purpose and for good reason.

That reason is to get a head start on a potentially deadly virus's antidote/vaccine etc.

They gather Bats because bats are immune to most viruses, if the virus kills the host, thats bad for the virus so bats make a good home for virus.
They collect bats to get samples of unknown or mutated viruses. They then mix them with other virus to see if they can make the jump from animal to human in a controlled environment

This is more likely. The 08 nobel prize biologist also said that this virus is likely manmade because it has dna from other viruses that were known manmade.
