I'm an old school MTG'er....was playing in the mid '90s!

Wow, the oldest cards I have are from Amonkhet, and that was only 2017.

Newer cards are so much more powerful, on average. I don't like a lot of the new abilities on the cards...it's confusing for an old-timer like me

Yeah, my friend who I often play magic with (although not now) has some of the older cards, and I think that the newer ones are just cleaner, and have better artwork, although I have nothing against the old cards.

I think all the cards have awesome artwork. A lot of the original artists are still making them. I am partial to the earlier artwork. Things like Shivan Dragon are just so awesome.

I have the newer Shivan dragon, but I looked up the old one and it is pretty cool.

Also, what do you think of war of the spark?
