This is actually the opposite of what’s going on, it’s the ADULTS who are being rebellious, and the teens who are following the rules.

I'm a teenager and i am rebellious but that doesnt mean i am stupid.

Note the word 'rebellious' is in quotation marks. I think this means their calling themselves rebelious, despite them having only half a brain.
