I would start with some sort of question. I'm just making this up. Is it likely that the more points a user has the less likely they will be to beg upvotes? I might have a premise for answering my 'research question.' When people are wealthy O am relatively sure normalized societies do not act charitably toward them. This may be hogwash cause lots of countries have state funded monarchies. Anyway it still helps come up with a hypothetical answer if I take seriously. So by analogy when users have lots of points other users may believe they have enough or what's due or are already working sufficiently hard. So the users won't give them upvotes and hence increase those users points. They don't do it period. So it may turn out the premise is correct after conducting a study. Then logically since users who have few points are likely to be the only users begging for upvotes in order to gain points...
