Yuki walked on, though unsettled. "We might find an answer to all of this... come on."

She held onto his wrist, walking cautiously. "Jeez....I never got jumped by one of those things before when I was in the room....I wonder whats wrong..."

Hikaru let him go and gave him a small scowl, "Okay, I meant, whats WORSE, are you happy?" she growled a bit at him, "And, Im in the same boat as you! Maybe a little worse, because Im empty handed, and at least you have that!" she said, pointing to the coat rack he brought with him. "This is a good school, alright?!"

((The coat rack got slapped off his hand he's defenseless))

Yuki grabbed her wrist and held it tightly. He looked into her eyes intensely. But it wasn't anger in his eyes... it was concern, worry. "Don't ever let go of me, you hear? It's dangerous."

Hikaru took her hand back again and looked at the ground, "H-hey....baka..." she paused, blushing a smol bit. "I can take care of myself..."

Hikaru laughed at him, “Very heroic.” She told him.

Hikaru felt nervous, and she felt her flight-or-fight response kick in. She didnt do either one though, she just froze, like a deer in headlights.

(I might have to go soon….I want to try and stay another 20 minutes-half an hour, but if I just delete my account suddenly, that means Im offline for the day, alright?)

A white and red streak cut off the ink's arm, dropping Hikaru. Hikaru screamed as she fell, but was caught by someone.

It was a girl, with waist-length red hair, wearing a long white dress, and carrying a sword.

As Hikaru was lifted up, she screamed, “Ah, no! I dont want to be a damsel in distress archetype!”

Hikaru hit her head somewhere along the way, so she was woozy. “Youre a very pretty boy….” She told the girl who caught her.

(*smiles wider*)

Yuki bowed, "Milady~"

Hikaru was giggling uncontrollably at this point, and she pushed him playfully, “Pffft- shut up, we’re in a serious situation!” She said, though she still has a grin plastered on her face.

((No, actually. We have a lot of stuff on this farm, but its not enough to like…make a career out of it. He works in town, downtown, at this place. He works for the school district, and he usually fixes instruments, but since the outbreak happened, he hasn’t gotten any orders to fix them. They did move the whole office downtown though (it used to be on the horizon, I think) but then they sold it, so now he has to go to the office and help clean it out and do manual labor and stuff.))

(They’re thinking of selling the house/farm actually….)

He was interrupted as a giant ink dropped from a building above.

Hikaru screamed, and pulled Yuki back. “U-um…what…do we do…?!”

"But we'll never get answers if we never move forward!"

Hikaru hissed, “You also cant get answers if youre DEAD!!!” She hissed.

The girl didn't respond, instead, she dropped Hikaru on the floor. She turned to the ink.
"Shadow identified. Termination in progress." She then moved her mouth, and a blue figure materialized out of nowhere. Yuki crawled back, as it looked menacing. But the girl seemed unfazed by it. In fact, it looked like she was in complete control of it. Because it was.
The great figure then moved at her command, setting the ink- or Shadow- on fire. As it recoiled, she jumped onto it and plunged the sword into its black, inky flesh.
