All though you have a good point with launching to Mars, which is underway. The space program produces allot of new innovative technologies that we implement on mainstream stuff used daily.

Men Will go to Mars in the years 2030 or 40 and I think at the end of this century we'll have a Colony there and on the moon in 2080, 2090 or maybe even in 2100.
