Ember was searching for some food, with a magical spell acting like a mask, so he wouldn't catch the virus.

Ember turned to her, "Found anything yet?"

{Electra nodded, pulling out a dead deer, with petals for horns.} "Do ya think this'll be okay?"

Ember examined it for a while, "Yeah, that's good. Now we need a few veggies..." He looked around. "Like this one!" He pulled out what looked like a large purple carrot.

Revan hopped from branch to branch. "Da! Da da da dont leave me please!" he said, not wearing his mask.

Charon walked on the ground, but was close to Revan. He was wearing his mask and was tired of trying to get Revan to wear his. He looked over at him, "Did you find anything? Revan and I got some fresh water."

Revan jumped down. "Da, mom's gonna be fine, right?"

Charon patted his shoulder. "She'll be fine. Just a little sick, is all."

Ember nodded while he quickly cast a mask spell on Revan's face, "We got some meat, vegetables, and fruit. I think that'll be enough." He then turned to Revan and patted his head, "Mom's fine, mom's fine..." Ember was slightly biting his lip.

Revan made a mmmph sound when he wore the mask and quickly took it back off. "I dont like it, da. It makes my face all hot." he said, pouting a bit. When Ember started patting his head, he took his hand and held it. "Really? Well, if you say so, you have to be right, right? Youre always right, after all!" he said, smiling. "Lets go back to mom."

"Alright, let's go." He stood up and held his child's hand. "Oh, and before I forget." Ember cast another spell to form a magical mask over Revan's face. "And don't even THINK about taking it off. Because you can't."

Revan tried to pry it off with his free hand, but he couldnt. "Daaaaaa!" he cried out, feeling bad. "Hmph."

Ember sighed, "It's for your own good, Revan. I'm wearing one too, see?" He pointed to his own mouth

Revan gave up on trying to take off the mask. "Okay....can I take it off when we get home?" he asked.

Charon ran after them, "H-hey wait up!"

{Valiku and Electra were hunting and searching for food that wasn't infected. Valiku waved a friendly paw at Charon when the two saw him.}

Charon waved back, "Hi." he said, making some water come to him to wash his hands.

{Electra padded next to him, valiku following. Valiku was proudly showing of a metalic dragon-wolf thing.} "How lucky were you guys?" {Electra asked.}

"Don't forget the disinfectant," Ember handed him a glass vial.

Charon put a few drops on his hand before washing them, and letting Revan and Ember wash their hands too. Charon grumbled, "I dont know why you want to search for water, I mean, I have my own right here, I dont get why you dont trust it." he grumbled. Revan shrugged, "We want to be extra careful!"

Ember turned to Charon. "The spring nearby has magical properties. It can slow down curses and sicknesses and stuff like that."

Charon made that one expression that conveyed, 'Do you even ever listen to me speaking' he cleared his throat, "My mother was the one in charge of protecting all the holy springs like that. She was the one who gave me the responsibility of protecting the most powerful springs. Thats why I can summon all water, including the most magical healing water."

Ember paused, and averted his eyes, "Well, maybe I want Aliza to drink water that *I* got for her, you ever think of that?"

"Hmm? Charon? Ever pause and think about that?" He kept being obnoxious just for the hell of it

Charon crossed his arms, "You know what, nevermind, youre just pushing me around becuase youre such a big strong-" he whispered the next word, "stupid" he went back into a loud voice, "dragon. I just wont help if thats what you want."

Ember was not amused. "You know, I can hear that, Charon. I have better hearing than humans."

Charon threw off his bow and quiver of arrows, and tossed them at Embers feet. "Thats exactly what Im talking about. You know what? Im out, I'd rather die on my own than deal with you." he said, throwing Ember a fish he'd managed to catch at his feet, before walking off, pulling his scarf up over his mouth and nose, even though he already was wearing a mask.

((*big smoile*))

"Grr..." Deep down, Ember wanted to stop him. But, his natural dragon pride and hotheadedness just made him growl in anger. "Come on, Revan. If he doesn't want to be with us then let him go alone."

Revan grabbed his father's hand, and whimpered a bit, "Sh-shouldnt we go after him, da?" he said.

Ember was shaking. In his mind, a conflict raged between his dragon instinct and the logic he's learned over the years. Sadly, his instincts won him over. "No. We're going home." He squeezed Revan's hand a little too hard.

She was wearing a shirt on her face, like this" he got a spare cloth and covered his nose and mouth. "She gave me all the bread and the rest of the water we had in the house. I listened to her, and outside, I saw everyone die. I think they were all sick. I was scared...but I listened to mama and didnt open the window or the door. Until the bread and water ran out. I waited one more day, but then I went outside." his eyes watered up. "I wanted to bury mama and da, becuase I know youre supposed to do that, but Im not big enough yet." he sniffled, and Aliza actually went to him and hugged him.)
