Help please

I have never heard of hinges wearing out that much... 🤔 You mean the arm? Or the claw?

First, the set I'm referring to is actually 60152
The part that connects the arm to the "body" so to speak. The hinges on the arm can lock in place but the piece between the two headlights, the grooves are getting flat and the first 1x4 keeps sliding down. The part I'm referring to is 6078262

Hmm... Well, it is the hinge that moves most, I guess. I had something similar but it lasted about a year. I'm not sure if the gray plastic is maybe a bit softer than the yellow... I'm afraid the only thing you can do to avoid it wearing out is not playing with it... 😕 Or maybe you could rebuild the mechanism in a more reliable way so you avoid the piece altogether...

I'll try that... I'm making a model of a construction site and I'm trying to have the bucket of the excavator poised over a dump truck, but even that probably wouldn't stay
