The Spanish flu also was a more contagious and ravaging disease, it spread across many times faster than the coronavirus causing devastating deaths. The final reason why is that the time of the Spanish flu was like 100 years ago, so that means people had less technology and experience to a disease. which would take longer than the Covid 19's strike did.
