Doesn’t mean that they didn’t get the signal, if anything, that made the signal larger. That would have easily been picked up by the scanners.

SKY PICKS UP THE INFINITY STONES ON HIS SCANNER, TELLS AQUAZARD TO TRACK THAT SIGNAL BECAUSE JOHN GOT VAPORIZED BY THE SNAP. AQUAZARD THEN GETS IN JOHN’S STAR FIGHTER AND MEETS UP WITH SKY, TELLS THE REMAINING PEOPLE IN THE BASE TO PICK A STAR FIGHTER AND FOLLOW HIM. THE FREIGHTER WARPS TO THE POSITION OF THE INFINITY STONES ALONG WITH A COUPLE FRIGATES SPECIALIZED FOR COMBAT. THEY BEGIN BLASTING THEIR WAY INTO THE BASE.
