ehh, I thought it was okay. I mean, sure, the part about crashlanded dust that Humans used to inject into space dogs which eventually turned them angery and bit Humans who bit other Humans and San Shyuum; sure, that was far from what the origin you'd expect for the Flood. But I do like the idea of them being used as a punishment from the Precursors.
