Remember developers, if you want your game to get respect, you have to earn it. I do not respect all games and I stand by my opinion. There are games on the internet where you just keep spanking Dora with a slipper and see how fast you can spank. Take Fortnite for example, it's cool and all, but who am I kidding? It's full of toxic 7 year old kids who screech out their vocal cords and the game is just really cringy and illogical to begin with. Now think of Halo, it's a great game, why? Because Halo has multiple versions you can play, each one with an interesting new idea or concept. Take Halo: Reach for example, you and your squadron are supposed to venture out into space and fight the covenant. The ending is really sad, as you're alone and your main objective is to survive until you eventually die. Now think of Halo 4, the game starts out in space, there's a holographic AI guiding you through a huge space ship made by humans that was abandoned and salvaged by aliens. But then, once you're done with that, you end up in a planet with beings who look like their armor is made of magma, new vehicles, characters and weapons. You can even make your own battlefield to fight with your friends, using any weapon you want! Now Fortnite on the other hand is really shitty. Remember the black hole in Season 1? Kids literally broke their televisions and went berserk. Some games really suck because of their fanbase. You know Minecraft? The game we all know and love? Back in 2018, I got teased and bullied because I liked it. Everyone else played Fortnite at the time. Now everyone loves Minecraft. Of course, little kids think FPS games are the only real games. And I'm not saying FPS games all have a toxic fanbase either. Think of Halo and Call of Duty. Yes, back in the day it was full of little toxic brats but they all left to Fortnite. The moral of this story is, if you don't like a game and have proper reason to back it up, then the game has a decent chance of actually being shit. It's like if a customer doesn't like the performance of a product they buy. A lot of the time, it's the fault of the product, either for false advertising or for poor performance.

Not all games deserve respect (But I do agree that games like Fortnite which still have an active fanbase shouldn't have everyone who likes it constantly badmouthed)
