{Ariva was searching the forest. She ditched her partner to find the target first.}

There was a giratian shaped shadow behind ariva.

{She was to busy slinking to notice}

It suddenly takes her to the distortion world.

"!" {She turned around wildly} "Show yourself!"

It dissapears to use shadow force.

{Her paw became a blaster.}

The shadow force was a direct hit.

{She fell, but countered with a blast shot}

*uses dragon claw*

{A blast of fire exploded from the room. It was from Ariva.} "WHERE ARE YOU?"

Ariva gets hit by a shadow claw.

{Snarling, she struck back with fire.} ((I gtg, I think I'll be on tomorrow.))

((Oki)) {It seemed like a normal day in the forest. Birds chirping, a rustle of a fox, a...humming sound? Something wasn't right.}

Ember heard it, of course. He was curious, so he went to investigate.

{When Ember got closer, there was a faint glow. The humming sound dimmed.}

He walked up to it.

{Ember caught a glimpse of something dark and metal. It had a glowing 'orb' in the center, though the glow was barely visable.}

Ember looked at it. "What IS that? A Runestone? No... It's nothing I've ever seen before... could it be? That glow... it must be magic. An Artifact? But why would an Artifact be here?"

((Wait so is this taking place in the psat or in the present like is it past Ember or future Ember))

((Maybe future ember and the present?)) {As the thing moved, it was clear it was more mechanical then magic, but there was something odd about it, like it had a hidden core of magic?}

((Maybe like... the past, before he met anyone, and before he knew about technology.))

Then, defying all his senses of logic, Ember reached out and touched it.

((Ah oki)) {As soon as Ember's hand reached the metal, the thing turned. It was a mechanical cat, but it still had fur and looked like a cat in armor. It was dark gray.}

"Ah!" Ember jumped back.

((Yes. Do it. It's cannon)) {The cyborg cat thing trotted to Ember.} "Hey, don't be scared! I don't bite. Unless I see you as a threat. And your not a threat."

Ember walked backwards slowly. He didn't know why, but the sight of it just freaked him out. He never felt this way before, for anything.

((Imagine all the memes I can make now-)) {The cyber cat raised a armored paw. It retracted into a normal sized paw. A scanner washed over Ember.}

Ember froze as the light washed over him.

{The cyber cat paused. The glowing cricles of armor begain a loading animation.}

Ember just looked at it, frozen in place. Though, he WAS slightly mesmerized by the spinning loading animation.

((Your trying Ember.)) {The cyber cat looked at Ember before considering an awnsering} "My name is Nickname Mirai," {As she said this, the japanese version of the name appeared on the orbs.} "I won't tell you my real one though."

Ember was too tense to demand an answer, as he would usually do.
"M-my name's Ember."

*"My nickname is Mirai,"*

"..." "Would you know one who practiced runestone magic? One like this?" {She, out of nowhere, pullled out a holographic poster. It looked like Ember, but not enough to say the photo was of him.}

"Um..." Ember wondered what to do. He decided to stretch the truth a bit, "I... don't know. Though I do know a lot that practice runestone magic, actually. It's really hard to keep track though, you know, because there's so many of them."
((It's KINDA true, a lot of dragons in the Sanctuary know a little runestone magic, because of the Elder. But only a few master it for combat))

((Neat.)) {Mirai's eyes seemed to stare into his soul. It was creepy, especially for a robotic creature} "Including ones that practice Runestone magic for attacks?" {She kept looking at the poster, then Ember.}

Ember was starting to sweat, which was weird, because he never really sweated. It might've been fear because the one interrogating him was a cat.
"Um... yeah! I know a few..."

{It smiled. Suddenly, a shot of purpleish blue shot of thunder shot towards Ember.} "You don't take me for an idiot do you?"

"Ah!" Ember rolled away. He found that he was able to move again. "Maybe."

"..." {Mirai snarled, showing razor sharp fangs rather large for it's body. The claw armor came back, sharper then before.} "I don't take kindly to being called an idiot." {Her personality seemed to take a complete 180, now with purple-red eyes.}

((Wait how big is Mirai))
Ember put up a fighting stance. It seemed his enthusiasm for battle covered up his fear. "Well then, come on!"

((She's like Ember's size, her big ears make her a little taller.)) "Alrighty then!" ((Ack I gtg. I think I'll be on tomorrow.))

Ember's usual smirk returned to his face. "I'll let you know, this won't be an easy fight!'

((I think so)) {Mirai lept to the side of Ember and attempted three swift slashed, followed by a swipe of her tail, which had a glowing blade.}

Ember jumped back at the slashes and dropped to the ground at the swipe. He followed up by spinning on the ground and knocking Mirai's legs, making her fall down.

*Insert GTA wasted here* {Mirai flopped to the ground, but a small hole appeared from her plasma claws. It shot a blast of energy at Ember before Mirai lept back up.}

Ember rolled and jumped back up too. He breathed fire on Mirai.

{Mirai coughed and rushed to put out the flames on her tail, where under the fur was metal.}

Ember saw this as a chance to incapacitate her with his gravity runestone spell. So he did just that.

{As he did, something weird happened to Mirai. She began to glitch and move her head as if her neck was snapping.}

"What ARE you...?"

"Let-мє gо and...ї щїll тєll уоц"

Ember lightened the spell so she wasn't crushed, but her paws were stil weighted to the floor, so she couldn't move.
"Tell me."

"I am the prototype of a project designed to help human-kind. There, now let me go." {She tryed to reach the ground helplessly.}

((What do you mean she's on the ground))
Ember wanted more answers, "But why were you looking for me? What do you want? What do you mean by project? Also, why do you freak me out."

((She's still flouting))
"I'd tell you more but my programing can't. I can take you to someone who can though." {She clawed for the ground.} "And seeing how you have never even seen a computer screen, I'm sure your perfectly scared."

((But the gravity spell puts them on the ground))
"A compyuder? What's that? Nevermind, take me to this person."

((Ah oki.)) "It's Com-Pu-Ter. Now come along." {She led Ember deeper into the forest.}

Ember followed her, but now that the thrill of battle was gone he stood a little far from her.

{They had reached a medium sized, sleek, yellow and gray space-ship. Mirai pressed the door with her paws and went inside. Ember would have to duck.}

Ember had no idea what he was going to walk into. He ducked and his horns barely fit the doorway. But he rose too fast and hit his head on the door anyway. He closed his eyes while rubbing the spot, but soon opened his eyes and saw...

{Somehow, It was bigger then it should have been, even for ember. There was a cockpit with numerous screens, Couches and chairs, and It felt more like a bedroom from the future then a ship, but still retained some aspects that made it beliveable it could fly.}

"Wha..." Ember was at a loss for words.

"Mirai, what happened? Did it go well or did the target get away? You know, I could help if Ariva didn't keep me bound to bed cause of my Injury, and I feel fine now."

Ember looked for the source of the voice. "So you're the one that sent her?"
((AHh I gotta go bye goodnight))

{It was a female yellow cat, like Mirai, but much better designed and sleeker. Her yellow eyes were beautiful but scary}

Ember saw her and jumped, "Eep!"

"..." {Mirai looked at Ember again.} "Ember...Isn't that a dragon name?"

"Y-yeah..." Ember put his hand on his horn, the equivalent of scratching a head but for dragons.

{Mirai paused} "You wouldn't know a dragon would you?"

"I know a lot of dragons," Ember was slightly gaining composure, but he still kept his distance. "Why do you ask?"
