Yes, but there is a difference between religions and beliefs. Religion is a practice that forces the person to follow certain requirements and follow religious practices. A belief has no strings attached.

So what is the concept of Hell, if not a string attached to not believing?

Thank you for asking a reasonable question. There are contrasting perspectives, but for me, the most reasonable is this: Forcing people to go to heaven is not heaven at all. This doesn't make God bad. he gave us the freedom of choice. This ability was given to us because we were made in his image. Would it be injustice if God were to force us into his presence? Or is it wrong that he gave us the option to be with him? God loved us so much that he gave us the free-will for the option of being with him. Accepting him give's us what he promised. rejecting gives us what we want, a world where God does not exist. The concept is that he is not sending us there, we are sending ourselves there.

So yeah, religion is BS, that's why Jesus came to get rid of it.

So Hell exists in christianity, and is explicitly spelled out as a punishment for non-believers, but you don't consider that a string attached to what is absolutely, by any definition a religion?

I already explained that it is not a punishment, but a choice of destination. In order to understand my perspective on religion, you have to switch your mindset. There are no strings attached. God did not create hell, it was caused by the first sin. Most Christians don't understand this concept and others would rather speak of fluff, so if you need me to clarify in any way, I would be more than happy to.
