I understand you've been having a lot of fears about the coronavirus lately, I'm here to talk. I think one thing that needs to be said is that coronavirus is not the fault of the Chinese citizens, but is the fault of their government. Whether it came from a fish market or a government lab, it's pretty clear the government is to blame and I personally would not forgive them. They did everything in their power to stop the spread of information to the rest of the world when we could have been working on a vaccine or to stock up on medical supplies. They have tried to blame coronavirus on the United States because they know they will suffer the consequences from the rest of the world when this is all over. They barricaded people in their homes to deal with the virus, causing people to die because they couldn't get the supplies they needed to stay alive. Even now, they are still most likely lying about how many people are actually dying, because they are acquiring thousands of urns to store the ashes of their dead. Not to mention they were also responsible for SARS back in the early 2000s so this isn't even the first time a disease originated in China and spread to the rest of the world.

However, even if coronavirus never happened, the Chinese government has done countless horrifying things over the years. They operate death camps where they harvest your organs. There's been a lot of talk recently about the Uyghur Muslims being thrown in these death camps, but the truth is they have been operating these camps since the 50s when they took power to take care of anyone the government disagrees with. Chinese factories are just barely above slavery. You work for countless hours for a pittance of a wage. A lot of these factories have installed nets on the sides of the buildings because their workers tend to try and commit suicide a lot. Companies around the world know this, yet they still continue to base most of their manufacturing in China because they can save a few extra bucks that would have had to go towards paying employees here in the US. They also have the worst pollution in the world at 30% of the world's pollution. By comparison, the US in second place is responsible for 15% of air pollution in the world, only around half of China. China also props up the Kim dynasty in North Korea, arguably one of the most nightmarish regimes in the world.

So should we forgive the Chinese government? In my opinion, no we shouldn't. The Chinese government has shown that they should not be trusted by anyone in the world for good reason. In my opinion we should move our manufacturing away from China and give those jobs to Americans. This will take away China's economic power which can only be a good thing in the long run. With the Chinese government up with no economic power, the citizens are more likely to rebel and install a better government for themselves. It won't be easy but the way I see it is the best path towards a better world. You can help us achieve this change by doing simple things like buying American or at least not buying products that are made in China. If you don't buy any products made from China you are not sending any money over to China to fund their government and all the shady s*** they do. You can also write letters to corporations saying you will not buy their products if they continue to make things in China. It's not easy not buying things from China, but it sends a good message to these corporations that you will not tolerate china's abuse of human rights.

I know this probably wasn't the answer you were looking for, but it's really the only answer I can really honestly give. China is a nightmarish dictatorship and the Chinese government does not deserve your forgiveness.

I meant Chinese people, not China itself.

The way I see it, you shouldn't blame the people for the crimes of the government. Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany were two of the most evil dictatorships ever, but that doesn't mean the average citizen was responsible for the atrocities their governments committed. Even the US government has done some pretty evil stuff like drone striking children in the Middle East, but the average US citizen is not to blame. I would still say boycott anything made in China, so that you're not giving the government your money and hopefully instill some change over there.

He's right. Why blame people for the crimes of their government? You're best off not worrying about where this came from but how can we all help eachother recover? Pointing fingers, getting angry is only going to make the situation worse not better.
