Plenty of wise people sold there stocks at or before that point in time.
Because once it was apparent that the media had taken to seemingly exagerate the situation but China had in fact not been honest about the real severity of the virus within China. It then became apparent that there would be major disruption once the virus got a foothold in uninfected populations. And the resulting downturn in activity would result in quite massive drops in stock valuations.
Do you know China claims it will be back at full production by months end? Strange how quickly that is going to happen (85% capacity on 3/13) if they are only now starting to see reducing numbers of new infection.
This virus was rampant in China for months longer than they have indicated and the death and infection numbers are already showing as under-reported according John Hopkins University by 10 times.
