The problem is that ImgFlip creators implemented a POINTS system designed to attract people here by making us wanna acquire more points, as if it's supposed to mean something. Even though we realize that the points don't actually mean anything SIGNIFICANT, we have been playing the "Upvote For Points" game for so long, it's become just as important to us as anything else here at ImgFlip.

This is why some of us get so uptight over those who don't upvote our memes and comments. Believe me, I sometimes feel petty asking for upvotes.
