Can't pay?! No Police or Fire for you

Not socialism. And police and fire are local concerns.

The Blinders & Earplugs some people wear is Astounding. Don't forget the Military. Probably the most Famous Socialist Program we have in the U.S. Paid for by the People with their Tax Money to Protect us All. (At least in theory how it was supposed to be, maybe we don't pretend anymore.)

Capitalism has most notoriously helped and favored the Rich and those who already have a long head start Excel...

But for those who do not and are not, Socialist Policies have helped them get the chance to lift them up from the gutter to where they can then make Capitalism work for them.

Many don't realize how nearly Impossible it is to start with Zero. Or even less than Zero (Deep in Debt) and not have anyone willing to help because Capitalism doesn't work that way. That's where Socialism comes in to Lend you a Hand when you need it the most.

The Homeless is one example, you're not going to solve or end homelessness by blaming them for not getting a job and lifting themselves out of poverty when nobody around including you would be willing to give a homeless stinky raggedy clothed man that same job.

That's where Socialism would come in. The same Tax Money we pay that is already misused and spent on many things we don't need such as a New Aircraft Carrier or a New War, could instead be used for Homeless Housing & Rehabilitation Programs.
