I have a very good friend who cannot put weight on and one day called her “skinny” because to me, that would be a compliment. She didn’t see it that way and got very angry with me! I apologized and we’re still friends but, geez, who would’ve known that calling someone skinny would be insulting?

I have to agree. Now there are people who, by the sake of genetics, tend to be weightier than others , e.g. Polynesian people, and slimness can be a family trait . But glamorizing poor eating choices is never a good thing. Obesity and extreme dieting can and very often do lead to severe health issues.

I prefer not talking about it here. If you can reach me via some private way that would work.

I agree 100%. I am tiny, but trust me, I eat. I have friends who are huge, and they are still healthy. But seriously, there are people who starve themselves to be "pretty", but it's really just... not good. Then obese girls come in saying like, "how dare you body shame me! I'm beautiful, no matter my weight!" When really, it's ok whatever your weight, just make sure you're healthy!
