USA Today is a Liberal magazine that has always biased the news towards the Liberal point of view. Of course, employment would stagnate during the "Trade War" with China....that was expected....to make an omelette you have to break an egg....or to put it another way....you suffer short-term pain for long-term gain....Everyone knew that the economy would suffer under this trade war but it was a necessary thing that had to be done that those previous presidents such as Clinton, Bushs', and Obama has refused to do because they were petrified at what its effect would be....only Trump had the balls to do it. The farmers who had suffered the worse under the Trade War asked Trump to continue his trade war with China...and you know who broke under that strain....not the farmers and certainly not Trump but the Chinese. The Chinese had been waiting for the 2020 election for the democrats to win again so that they could continue to rob the Americans blind again under democrats but as I had said they broke and will continue to break under Trump....everyone will. The effect of trump's policies will not be seen for a further year or so....you do not try to turn around a massive economy like the USA and expect to see massive effects right away.....it takes times. And those 500,000 manufacturing jobs that you claim that Trump has created....well, just recall that it was the visionless Obama who had said that manufacturing jobs were not coming back.....Well, they did, and I am sorry if you think that 500,000 jobs that were not supposed to come back "unless Trump had a magic wand" are too little. Yes the US Trade deficit may have increased but that was from the effect from previous govts including the Bushes....as I had said before it is a huge task to turn around a massive economy....but what the authors had not stated even though the knew these facts was that..."The Commerce Department said on Tuesday the trade deficit decreased 8.2% to $43.1 billion, the smallest since October 2016. The percentage drop was the largest since January. The trade deficit has narrowed 0.7% through November and is on track to record its first annual decline since 2013"....and this is exactly why they had specifically stated the 'first two years"....as they are dishonest.
