My first car , my Parents were so proud

I actually loved my Pintos, they were hated because the “rear crash explosion risk”, and Ford vehicles were a bit cheap, then, but the 2.9 liter was quick, and it cornered great! I ran mine hard!
Remember they used to race these on the oval tracks, and in dirt track racing

1971 Pinto hatchback , my Motorhead High School buddy rebuilt it and gave it to me .

The Pinto tended to rust out, as all 70s Fords did in the Midwest, and if the truck rusted out, and your rear leaf springs collapsed into the trunk.....oh boy! You had the perfect “Drift Car”
Pintos were wide and flat, so roll over risk was almost zero!

I live on Long Island , my car's color was blue and rust .
