Well, I'm a front pager and I still don't know what people think is funny, here is a tip: just make memes until you notice that one of them is getting upvoted, then, make more similar to that one, people change, bye the way, so you'll need to change your style every so often. If you think you made good memes and nobody is looking at them because you aren't a popular user, just comment on one of my less popular memes that you need help getting featured.
