It's not guns - it's the bullets. The bullets propelled by gunpowder from the casing, ignited by the primer which is set off by a firing pin, released by a fire control group which is released by actuation of a trigger operated by a person - who is not controlled by anything.

And if that human didn't have a gun, he would use a knife, or a hammer, or poison, or fire, or...

People kill people.

Its not the weapon that kills it's the the person behind it. The weapons that you speak of have no will to do what they want but the people using them are at full control of the weapon. People getting they're rights taken away are at risk and if people saw this it would not be happening. I am in a very amendment loving family and I believe that people will always need there rights.

I'm right there with you. I've used this argument and description many times, and it always comes down to the ability to commit to an action. Inanimate objects cannot do it.
