Think about it. Some people don't know how to drive. This could cause major accidents.

If you’re driving on a highway and all of a sudden you start flying without experience, death is inevitable

Haven't thought of that, good point. But what if the person that's driving a car that suddenly started flying was a pilot? (let's say that the person in question had 5 years of flying experience)

They would be confused, and they would start to wonder why they’re in the air

But they would quickly adapt and avoid crashing due to their experience

It wouldnt be a good idea.
1. You cant just get up once you turned 16 and go, "Yo, lets go fly!" you need to be trained to be able to do it.
2. How much would it cost?!
3. If we try to counter my first point by putting in an AI to have the car fly itself, that kinda takes the fun out of it...

Exactly. We would probably have to train people until he/she is either old enough to drive on his/her own or that he/she is ready enough.
