In Psychology, emotional reasoning is considered one of several thinking errors. "Emotional reasoning is a cognitive process by which a person concludes that [their] emotional reaction proves something is true, regardless of the observed evidence." However, feelings are not facts! And yet, certain dogmatic people on the far left would have us believe that if someone takes offence at the spoken or written word of another, it must be considered hate speech, & that a hate crime must have been committed.
Conclusion: they would benefit from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, aka CBT, to overcome their warped thought processes & bring them back in line with objective reality. The problem is that their ideology is based on the philosophy of Postmodernism, which calls into question the very notion of objective reality itself.
