I was watching a show about sinking the Bismark and the air raid siren started on the TV, but kept getting louder even as I tried to turn the volume down. Now this was the first night I was spending over at my then girlfriend's place (now wife) and she had gone to bed and because I worked overnights, I was just chilling.
But the Alarm kept getting louder until I realized it was the fire station basically across the street, but it was the nuclear evacuation alarm for the nuke plant just up river. Everyone is starting to freak out a little when it finally stopped. Found out the fire chief hit the wrong button. He meant to hit the all call button due to a fire, but damn I was like what have I got my self into for about ten minutes.
