Small Church

Perhaps this meme speaks of your own experience? If so, I'm sorry. I would like to hear what made you become an atheist.

No.my mother said that.She and my dad were raised Mormon,but converted.We ended up going to Saturday school and church every week for 5 and a half years.We still go to church,but our mother says at least 4 of us will grow up to be atheists

So no one in your family was actually Catholic? If your mom says you will grow up to be atheist maybe it speaks more about her parenting and lack of faith.

No we are,but we would pray every night gladly,but the Saturday school slowly beats it out of you.I stand by death Cab for cutie:and Catholic school,as Vitious as Roman rule,I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black.and I held my tongue,as she told me "Son,fear is the heart of love." So I never went back.

Are you quoting some song? Or you really got your knuckles knocked by a nun? I've heard stories of the nuns in the old Catholic schools. Part of me says that's unfortunate they were so grumpy and drove people away by their strictness. Certainly not Christian of them. Another part of me says kids were a little more respectful when they didn't get away with the crap they do now and teachers are now afraid of them.

Sorry about that. Schools have changed a lot. I used to teach in a catholic school teachers are nice now and there's hardly any nuns, but I used to be one of those too. But not a mean one. Lol

I went to a very strict one,that I know.Some of the nine were from a REALLY brutaL convent in italy.

Ah, well I'm I'm the USA so can't speak for schools in other countries. But there should be no mean nuns. If they truly love God and are happy to devote their life to Him they should be joyful.
