I really have no idea I just got this from a Kendrick Lamar song. But kinda actually get it.

It's like when somebody is in a abusive relationship. The person convinces themselves that their significant other is a "good person" but in reality just abuses them in many ways. Their real friends and family keep on telling them to leave that person, but the Person pushes them away, hurting their relationship with the people who actually love them. That's what I got from it anyway.
