OK, here is 5 reasons why sonic is better than mario:
1. Sonic actually talks
2. The levels are more realistic and cool
3. There are different objectives for each Sonic game. Mario's is.... save princess peach?!
4. Sonic games have better music
5. Mario's villains all just are lackeys of Bowser, and Sonic's villains are there own villains, not just eggman.

Consider all that.

1. Mario doesn't talk, as to not interrupt the gameplay
2. Sonic wouldn't have even existed without the Mario franchise
3. The Mario games have less glitches
4. The toxicity of the Sonic fanbase ruins the franchise, the Mario fans are only toxic when the Sonic fans are mean to them
5. The Mario franchise has been able to expand into the modern market with quality new games, Sega has tried to do this (sonic 06, sonic boom, etc.) but as the most popular recent sonic game was sonic mania, a game based on the classic sonic games, sega has failed to modernise the franchise.

Mario has failed to expand with horrible games like Odyssey and galaxy 2

But Mario has good games as well, like Mario Maker 2, Mario Party, Luigi's Mansion 3 and lots of other good games to numerous to list individually.

But then Sonic also had some good modern games as well.
(Generations, Forces, adventure, adventure 2, 4 episodes 1 and 2)

Thank you for helping to ruin the sonic franchise, by being mean to mario fans you and other sonic fans are giving the sonic franchise and community a bad reputation.
