That is indeed cruel to that baby, as that diet does not contain the variation of nutrients that that baby needed but that was the fault of the parents, who definitely had other issues, as well. I know quite a few vegan parents who I know would never have dreamt of giving such a young baby only apple juice and soy milk and whose kids are thriving on a balanced, varied vegan diet. Mother's breast milk would've had all the nutrients that that baby you mentioned needed at that age and then they could've followed on by feeding him a variety of plant foods. The American Dietetic Associaton and the World Health Organization agree that a balanced vegan diet is suitable for all stages of life. There are some who believe that breastfeeding isn't vegan, which is nonsense, as as a mother consents to feed her child, whereas a cow does not consent to be raped to be impregnated, have her children ripped away from her over and over again, be forced to give the milk made for her children to humans for an unnecessary reason, be painfully milked until she can't produce milk any more and then trucked to a slaughterhouse.
So, my question is are you against animal cruelty?
