I don't think it's meant to be a scientific research measuring empathy and not sure that's something that could be tested since it's a subjective concept. I think it just shows the difference between boys and girls how they communicate, I bet if they tried it with older kids or adults results would have been different. 6 kids really doesn't represent a population.

I agree it's a subjective concept & can't really be empirically tested. However that doesn't stop some from trying if they think otherwise.

I was just going by what the captions said. I'm not reading into it.

My issue is with the "interpretation of" and "test of empathy" described by the adults.

The study. Was it to fulfill an assignment or just something someone did on a whim? I'm trying to figure out why someone would give kids salty lemonade.

did you look at the clip? They pretty much say what they're doing and why..if you go by the captions.
I guess this is actually an example of how faulty conclusions can be drawn on incomplete information...since we've only got a short clip of what may be a longer segment.
