Ah, someone who's never been in a leadership position.

Here's the trick to being a leader. You don't need to be an expert and/or capable of doing everything that needs to be done - leaders are big-picture people. They need to be able to pick people who they trust and are capable of doing the work. A good leader makes the plan, staffs with people who are capable of executing it, and handles the roadblocks and speed bumps that happen along the way.
